ATTENTION HIGHSCHOOL SENIORS!

Freedom United and The Beaver Valley Chapter of Credit Unions will once again be offering scholarships to our graduating members.  Please stop in one of our 3 offices to review the requirements and pick up an application. The deadline to take advantage of this opportunity is March 1, 2018.

Join us April 21^st, 2018 for our Annual Meeting!

The meeting will be held at Franzee’s in Ambridge.  The meeting will begin at 5:30 and will be followed by a Royale Buffet Dinner and an ice cream sundae bar! A cash bar will also be available.
Following dinner will be family friendly entertainment from Magician Steve Haberman! Be sure to catch him after the show from a free balloon animal!

Deposits received in the night drop are posted when the Credit Union opens at 9am for the current business day. All returns are completed by the data processor prior to opening. We will no longer refund NSF fees unless caused by a Credit Union error. To help us out make sure the funds are available in your account before writing checks.

Tax Refunds Faster!
Tax season is upon us. If you are due a refund, the fastest way to receive your money is through direct deposit.  To receive your return by direct deposit, simply check the appropriate box on your return to indicate checking or savings, then enter Freedom United’s Routing and Transit number: 243381531, alongside your account number. If you are unsure of this 13-digit number starting in “025”, please contact one of your three offices.
If receiving a joint return, your refund must be deposited into a joint account. If the check presents two names, both parties must be present to cash.

IRA Account Holders

You can make contributions to your 2017 IRA account up until April 17^th!  Keep in mind when you are making your IRA contributions to sign a form that designates whether you’re making a contribution for 2017 or 2018.

Save on high interest when you transfer your balances to a Freedom United Visa Card

Example: for a $1,000 balance:
High rate at 25%: Total cost at 36 months (est. payoff) = $1,430.54

Don’t Fall for Too Great of a Deal

Plain and simple: don’t buy into trial products!  And if for some reason you do, be absolutely sure you read the terms and conditions.  Most companies offering these types of products offer a trial period for a small fee of $3.99, $4.99, etc.  However, you have to cancel the product within 15 days as it automatically enrolls you in a monthly subscription and you start getting charged accordingly, upwards of $100 a month!

Once you purchase, you authorize the monthly charge, whether you want the product or not.  Save yourself the hassle: don’t buy it!

These merchants depend on unsuspecting customers that do not read the terms and conditions in
order to make their money.  Don’t be that customer.  Always read the terms and conditions.
