Night Drop Notice
Deposits received in the night drop are posted when the Credit Union opens at 9am for the current business day. All returns are completed by the data processor prior to opening. We will no longer refund NSF fees unless caused by a Credit Union error.

Debit Card Updates!!
Daily Limits
Did you know your debit card has limits? Your available withdraw limit (at ATMs) is $500 and your point of sale (at stores or online) is $1,000. Although this may appear to be an inconvenience, these are limits mandated by VISA for your protection and safety.
Just imagine if someone is able to get your card numbers or your wallet is stolen. If your card didn’t have limits, that thief could get away with all of your money!
But do not fear, if you need to withdraw more than $500 or you need to spend more than $1,000, please give us a call and we would be more than happy to accommodate you and place a temporary increase or life for the time period you specified.
Travel Notices
Going out of town this summer? Be sure to let us know so we can mark your account accordingly. Visa’s fraud department looks unusual transactions and may flag your card. By notifying us of your travel dates, we can help keep your card open and available without interruption. You can also download the SecurLOCK Equip app and manager your Debit and Credits Cards.
If it sounds too good to be true…
…it is. Simply stated, if someone is offering you an awesome deal and all you have to do is pay shipping, don’t take it. Do not allow yourself to fall victim to this carefully designed scheme.
If it looks like the ad on the right, turn around and go
the other way. You are not getting an product for an
unbeatable price, you are getting roped in to unwanted
charges. Before placing your order, read the terms and
conditions. They usually look like the following:
“Just pay $5.95 for S&H to fully evaluate [product] for
15 days. If you like [product], simply keep the product.
One your trial has ended, you will be billed $99.99 for
the product. Every 30 days thereafter you will continue
to be billed for $99.99 until you cancel.”
Despite the fact that they seem to hide the terms and
conditions, they are legally binding, thus leaving you, the
member, responsible for all charges. These merchants
aren’t making money for the amount of shipping and
handling. These merchants depend on unsuspecting customers that do not read the terms and conditions in order to make their money. Don’t be that customer. Always read the terms and conditions. You’ll be glad you did.
Nationwide No More
As of May 31st, Nationwide Insurance has terminated their agreement with the Credit Union. This means they will no longer be offering discounts to Freedom United members. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate the understanding.
Important IRA Information
If you are planning on withdrawing from your IRA, we ask that you please notify us at least 24 hours ahead of time. This allows us to prepare the paperwork.
